Remastered Edit

The soundtrack was later remastered by indie game music writer Danny Baranowsky. It contains remastered/remade music pieces from the original soundtrack. This soundtrack was used for Cave Story 3D, and was also included as the default soundtrack for Cave Story+.

New Edit

This is an arrangement of the soundtrack by Yann Van Der Cruyssen. Some criticisms include straying too far away from the classic melodies, lack of bass, and weird pitch and looping in the tracks[citation needed]. However, according to the website Tiny Cartridge, these problems were due to improper editing on the game tester's part. This soundtrack is included as an optional soundtrack for Cave Story+ on Steam, and as an optional soundtrack for the Wiiware version (in the Wiiware version it is selected as the default soundtrack on start up).
